Dave Myers, Sr., 52, of Mansfield, died Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Las Colinas Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Born October 12, 1959 in Ashland, he was the son of Richard P. and Ellen (Ritchey) Myers.
A workaholic, he retired from General Motors and currently was working as a truck driver for USA Trucking and loved the freedom of being on the road. He enjoyed working on cars and bowling, but his greatest enjoyment was being around his family, especially his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his mother, Ellen (Ritchey) Myers; his father, Richard P. Myers; a son, Dave (Camille) Myers, Jr.; two daughters, Ashley and Haley Myers; son, Chad (K.D.) Hock; grandchildren, Madysen and Peyten Myers, Jayden Allen, Janiya Bays, Trinity Burgy and C.J. and Braxton Hock; two brothers, Rich (Karen) Myers and Jim (Patty) Myers; and special friend, Terri Myers.
Friends may visit from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
