David Deal

David M. Deal, 57, of Mansfield, died Friday, January 8, 2010 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born January 6, 1953, in Mansfield, he was the son of Charles R. Deal, Sr. and Jerri Powers. He retired from Bill Harris Chevrolet. David was a member of the Eagles and enjoyed bowling, fishing, golfing, and taking trips to Las Vegas. He loved his family and helping people when needed.

He is survived by his wife, Sally Long Deal; father, Charles R. Deal, Sr. of Mansfield; mother, Jerri Powers of Arizona; stepsons, Mike Baker and Eric Baker, both of Arizona; stepchildren, Angela McCarn and Michael J. Crank, Jr., both of Alabama; step-grandchildren, Riley and Regan McCarn; two brothers and sister-in-law, Charles R. Deal, Jr. of Arizona, and Christopher and Sherri Jones of Ashland; stepbrother, Mark Deal of Arizona; sister, Julie Anders of Seattle, Washington; numerous nieces and nephews; best friends, Linda Johnston and Steve Rahall; and dear friends, Monty, Donnie, and Christie Johnston. He was preceded in death by one sister, Connie Deal; one stepson, Danny Baker; first wife, Rita Baker Deal; and best friend, Don Johnston.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 14, 2010 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Mansfield. A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service, from 1 to 2 p.m., at the funeral home.
