

Debbie Gordon, 47 of Mansfield died unexpectedly of natural causes Wednesday morning November 24, 2004 at her brother's home. Born June 13, 1957 in Stuttgart, Germany, she was the daughter of Paul Gordon and Helen McQuate Gordon. She was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church, a 1975 graduate of Madison High School, and worked as a caregiver for Richland Newhope Center. Her greatest enjoyment came from riding and showing her horse, Teddy. People knew Debbie as a loyal, generous, selfless friend; she was a caring, dedicated caregiver to those at Newhope, and a kind fun-loving aunt, daughter, and sister.
Survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jeff and Laura Gordon, and Greg and Desiree Gordon, all of Columbus; two sisters and brother-in-law, Lisa Gordon of Columbus, and Paula and Mark Potts of Mansfield; one step sister, Lori Ujvari of Lexington; three step brothers, Randy Urso of West Virginia, Jim Martin of Atlanta, Georgia, and Mike Martin of Cleveland; parents, Helen Gordon, and Paul and Midge Gordon, all of Mansfield; nieces and nephews, Chris, Megan, Kate, Ramsey, Tyler, Griffen, Chewy, Evan, Hailey, Kristen, Kelsey, and Lauryn; and close friends, Rhonda, Cindy, Trudy, 'the girls' and all the friends from the barn and horse shows, and all those who Debbie loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Cloyd and Frances McQuate and paternal grandparents, Harry and Lena Gordon.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday November 29, 2004 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Friends may also call from 10 to 10:30 a.m. at St. Timothy Lutheran Church Tuesday November 30, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Bonnie Peltomaa officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh. Memorial contributions may be made to New Hope or St. Timothy Lutheran Church. We would like those who loved Debbie to know that she is home with the Lord.
