
Delta Plaster, 82, of Mansfield, died Monday, June 4, 2007 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born February 23, 1925 in Ivydale, West Virginia, she was the daughter of Nathan Curtis and Lucy Methney Truman. She was a member of the Baptist Temple and involved in the PTA. Delta endeared herself to others with her tireless enthusiasm, warmth, and hospitality. Her sunny disposition, compassionate ear, and sharp wit provided consistently delightful company to those in her life. She was, and will continue to be, an inspiration to those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas C. Plaster; two daughters and sons-in-law, Vickie and Tom Scarffe, and Michelle and Tim Bautz; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Beverly Plaster; grandchildren, Angela and Dan Yetzer, Michael and Janet Stratton, Travis and Kim Bautz, Christina and Ed Allenbaugh, Craig and Jen Bautz, Matthew Bautz, and Thomas Plaster; great-grandchildren, Rachel, Rhiannon, and Taylor Yetzer, Avery and Curtiss Bautz, Erik and Ciera Allenbaugh, and Callie Plaster; and sister, Thelma Rector. She was preceded in death by her parents; great-granddaughter, Ashley Allenbaugh; and numerous brothers and sisters.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2007 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Private services will be held for the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurses Association.
