Donald Ferguson, 85, of Mansfield, died Monday, March 1, 2004, at Woodlawn Healthcare and Rehabilitation. He was born October 23, 1918, in Akron, Ohio, to Dave and Eva Ellen Butler Ferguson. He was formerly employed as a delivery person. Donald was a veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Brannon Ferguson; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert and Ellen Ferguson of Mansfield, Mike and Shirley Ferguson of Frederick, Maryland, and Ron Ferguson of Mansfield and his children, Matt Ferguson of the U.S. Navy, Danny Ferguson of the U.S. Air Force, stationed in Germany and Shannon Ferguson of Iceland. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eva Shaffer and stepfather, Ralph Shaffer.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 4 at 10:30 a.m. at Mansfield Cemetery, conducted by Pastor Michael Workman. Wappner Funeral Directors assisted the family with arrangements.
