

A hard worker, he worked in the auto glass industry as a technician for 56 years and loved to work on cars. He was a member of the Journey Life Center Church where he was an Elder and Deacon. He has a great sense of humor, loved children, and was known as "Big Tex" on the CB.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marilyn (Carroll) McDaniel; a son, Jim McDaniel; a daughter, Terrie Stollings; three granddaughters, Melissa McDaniel and her fiancé Matt, Jeni McDaniel and Ashley (John) Roberts; two grandsons, Brandon (Kristy) McDaniel and Jimmy Lee McDaniel; three step granddaughters; numerous great grandchildren; one brother, Eddie McDaniel; a brother-in-law, Gary "Butch" Ingles; and two sisters-in-law, Naomi Henderson and Barbara Duncan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters; a son-in-law, Roy Stollings, Sr.; and a daughter-in-law, Vesta Marie McDaniel.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 30, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. in Journey Life Center, 2578 State Route 39 NW, Mansfield.
