Donald Stone

Donald H. Stone, 82, of Mansfield, died Thursday, August 30, 2007 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born October 30, 1924, in Mansfield, he was the son of Howard C. and Bessie B. Maxwell Stone. He was a veteran of U.S. Navy. He was formerly employed as a foreman at Empire Detroit Steel.

He is survived by three sons, Gary Ronda Stone of Coshocton, Alan Susan Stone and Glen Stone girlfriend, Linda, all of Mansfield; daughter, Gale Mike Yunker of Mansfield; two grandchildren, Melisa Dave Watters of Mansfield and Scott Amanda Stone of Shelby; and three great-grandchildren, Cameron, Kelsey and Brayden Stone of Shelby. Preceding him in death was his wife, Gladys M. Bischoff Stone, parents, a brother and a sister.

Friends may call Wednesday, September 5 from 4-6 p.m. at Little Washington Congregational Church. A memorial service conducted by Rev. David Root will follow at 6:00 p.m. Burial will be at a later date in Little Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Little Washington Congregational Church, 2323 Washington South Rd., Mansfield, OH 44903 or the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department, 2480 Possum Run Rd., Mansfield, OH 44903.
