

Dora L. Lacy, 78, passed away Sunday evening, July 31, 2011 at Hospice of North Central Ohio in Ashland. Born March 24, 1933 in Elliottville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Ruby Johnson. Dora was an area homemaker her entire life and enjoyed gardening in her spare time. She was an independent woman who enjoyed helping others. Dora was an avid Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians fan and member of Cornerstone Free Will Baptist Church.
She is survived by four children, Pat (Brian) Pearson of Mansfield, Janet (John) Free of Mansfield, Jerry (Mary) Lacy of Odessa, TX and Michael (Dawn) Lacy of Palm Bay, FL; six grandchildren, Angela (Sean) Rush, David (Shelby) Baker, Waylon (Kayla) Lacy, Dustin (Candy) Lacy, Drew Lacy and Jody Lacy; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nora Fraley and Edith (Lee) Johnson, all of Mansfield; a brother, Emmit (Linda) Johnson of Mansfield; a host of nieces, nephews and other dear relatives; and good friends from the Waterford, Dorothy and Betty. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lorenz Lacy and brothers, Arthur and Raymond Johnson.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd. Friends may visit at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio.
