Dr. David "Dave" J. Pesec

Dr. David "Dave" J. Pesec, 61, of Mansfield, passed away late Tuesday evening, November 21, 2017, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. He was born April 19, 1956, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Rudolph Jack and Martha Caroline (Kessler) Pesec.

A highly educated man, Dave received his first Doctorate degree from the University of Phoenix and received undergraduate degrees from Cleveland State University, Trinity College & University and Arizona State University. He passed along his love of learning through teaching, a profession for which he had great passion. Dave was a former Adjunct Professor at both Ashland University and American Intercontinental University, where he taught Business.

He was an entrepreneur and was currently the CEO of Pesec Creative Management and Pesec International Group. Prior to that, he was a Data Center Director at United Telephone/Sprint. Dave was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and held a private pilot's license. He loved the freedom of flying and beauty of the sky. Dave had a fascination for and love of parrots.

He is survived by his wife of seven years, Jan Garver; stepson, Michael McCann of Mansfield; three step grandchildren, Crystal, Gabriel and Eion; and his mother-in-law, Geraldine Garver of Mansfield. He is preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Neil Garver.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, November 30, 2017, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road.
