A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Dustin was affectionately known by his grandchildren as "the Cutest Paw ever” -a title he wore with pride. His quick wit and sense of humor made him a favorite among friends and family. Whether he was cracking jokes or lending a helping hand, Dustin had a gift for making everyone feel welcome. He could talk to anyone and was truly a friend to all.
He was a wonderful mentor to many young people, always ready with words of encouragement or a listening ear. Dustin had a passion for living life to the fullest - enjoying many rounds of golf at Twin Lakes, drag racing in his younger years, and spending time at the casino or horse races. He was also known to sink a few shots at the pool table and never missed a chance to snap a selfie with his beloved grandchildren.
Dustin is survived by his loving children: Michelle (Curt) Fife, Pam Sturgill, Dustin (Tiffany) Adkins, Jr., and Chris Adkins; ten cherished grandchildren: Curtis Fife, Jr., Shelby (Logan) Bachmann, Ashley Sturgill, Jacob Sturgill, Zachary Adkins, Haley Adkins, Aaliyah Adkins, Camron Adkins, Colt Adkins, and Peyton Adkins; one great-grandchild, Oaklynn Marshall; and his brother, Gary Adkins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley (Eaton) Adkins; his parents; and siblings Roger, Wyoma, Lanny, Carolyn, and Randy.
In keeping with Dustin's wishes, there will be a celebration of life observed at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society. Wappner Funeral Directors-Mansfield is honored to serve the Adkins family.
