Edward Ludwick

Edward 'Big Ed' Augustus Ludwick, age 47, died unexpectedly Wednesday December 14, 2004 at his home in Cleveland. Born April 18, 1957 in San Angelo, Texas, he was the son of Robert and Carolyn Clevenger Ludwick. He lived in the Ohio area for the past 31 years and was an instructor at the Cleveland Institute of Electronics. Mr. Ludwick was a member of the Crestline Church of Christ and a 1975 graduate from St. Peter's High School. He attended the University of Cincinnati and received an Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from North Central Technical College. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Akron, where he was a member of Phi Kappa Tau. Mr. Ludwick designed electrical components, which Cleveland Institute of Electronics used for their students. He also designed web sites. Currently, he was working on a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering at Cleveland State University. He enjoyed fishing on Lake Erie and camping. He spent many hours fishing with friends. 'Big Ed' also loved to cook and enjoyed seeing others eat his food. Survivors include his father and stepmother, Robert and Helen Ludwick of Mansfield; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert Raymond Mary J. Ludwick of Mansfield, Marc E. Karen Ludwick of California, and Patrick Michael M. Christine of Mansfield; sister and brother-in-law, Monica Petar Ludwick-Kiryakov of North Royalton; two nieces, Emily Porter of Mansfield, and Tessa Ludwick of California; nephew, Brian Ludwick of California; step grandmother, Nora Ludwick; and two very close friends, Jeff Connie Cooper and Marco Paula Scodova. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Ludwick in 1992. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday December 18, 2004 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors with Minister Douglas McCoy officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service, from 12 to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Crestline Church of Christ.
