

Elijah Risner, 56, of Mansfield, Ohio passed away Friday, October 28, 2016 at his residence following a long battle with cancer. Born July 31, 1960 in Mansfield, Ohio, he was the son of Earnie and Verna May (Selvage) Risner.
He was currently employed with the City of Mansfield in the maintenance department. He loved collecting, restoring and selling cars and it was not uncommon for him to have six or more cars around the house at one time.
He is survived by his wife, Janis "Ann" (Molihan) Risner; two sons, Christopher (Kristi) Risner and Elijah Coltin Risner; a step son, R.J. Woodruff; six granddaughters, Kayelin, Addison, Jocelyn, Kori and Hadley Risner and Bailee Fliger; a grandson, Leiam Taska; his brothers, Roy Lee Risner whom he also considered his best friend, Curtis (Lonna) Risner and Wade (Kay) Risner; and a sister, Janet (Jerry) Novacic.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step daughter, Brittany Molihan.
Friends may call from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Sid Ramey. The family requests if you have a classic car to please drive it on Wednesday in honor of Elijah. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
