
Evelyn E. Riggleman, 90, of Mansfield died Thursday January 3, 2002 after a brief illness at MedCentral Mansfield. Evelyn went home to be with her Lord. Mrs. Riggleman was born December 21, 1911 in Mansfield to Johnathan and Etta Swain Hyman and was a life long resident. She was employed at Westinghouse during World War II, Schmutzler's for 28 years and retired from HiStat in Lexington in 1983. She was a member of the Caesarea Church. Evelyn enjoyed gardening, crocheting and spending time with her children and grandchildren whom she loved very much.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, V. Beverly and Rex Worner; Kelvin M. and Patsy Riggleman; Joan Murphy; Melvin and Linda Riggleman; Marvin and Dottie Riggleman; and Marilee R. Friend all of Mansfield; and Gary R. and Beth Riggleman of Bellville. Also surviving are her grandchildren and their spouses, Cheryl and Chuck Blonc of Sandusky, Ohio; Jeffery and Dixie Worner of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Rick and Lisa Worner of Mansfield; Randy and Diana Riggleman of Mansfield; Christa and Wayne Pirc of Mansfield; Michael and Paula Murphy; Timothy and Lynda Murphy; and Patrick and Cindy Murphy all of Austin, Texas; Debra and Bob Carr of Shreve, Ohio; Cynthia and David Stallard of Bellville; Rebecca and Mike Brogan of Cool Ridge, W. Virginia; Donita Jacobs of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Rick and Robyn Riggleman of Shelby; Chris Riggleman of Mansfield; Darlene and Greg Rudrick of Lexington; C. Kay Riggleman of Mansfield; Kevin W. Friend of Elgin Air Force Base Florida; Matthew and Patti Friend of Sunrise Florida; Danielle and Les Hughes of Perrysville; Angela and John Clingan of Topeka, Kansas; and Alex P. Riggleman of Lancaster, Ohio; 44 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and her special companion, Cricket. She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant daughter, Shirley Carol and eleven brothers and sisters.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Sunday January 6, 2002 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday January 7, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by the Rev. Al Page. Burial will be in Savannah Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Caesarea Church.
