
Fanny Nikola Christ, 93, of Wedgewood Estates, died Wednesday, December 24, 2003, at her home. She was born on July 13, 1910, in Najopole, Macedonia to Sotir and Anastasia Yoskova Nikola. She came to the United States in 1926 and lived in the Mansfield area for over 75 years. On October 28, 1928, she married Steve Christ. They were married for 51 years and he preceded her in death on April 7, 1980. She was a member of St. Thomas Eastern Orthodox Church in Fairborn, Ohio.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Margaret Christ and David Sparks of Bonita Springs, Florida, Paul and Barbara Christ of Mansfield and Pete and Paula Christ of Bonita Springs, Florida; grandchildren and their spouses, George Simon, Stephanie Sparks and Martin Grady, Paula Christ, Pam Christ and Tom Graffice, Ellen Christ and Troy Eichler, and Stephen Christ; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Vesta Koteff and Olga Chicodreff; stepbrother, Alex Naumoff; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Vasil Naumoff, and brother Mitcho Nikola.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 27, at 11:30 a.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, conducted by Father James Wright from her church. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
