

Born December 11, 1938 in Mansfield, he was the son of Dominic and Lucia (Bagnato) Grillo. He was a 1957 graduate of Mansfield Senior High and had worked for Hartman Electric for 12 years and retired from the tool and die department of General Motors, Sandusky, Ohio. He attended Diamond Hill Cathedral Church and enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling and small plumbing jobs alongside his son, Tim. He also enjoyed the short trips he and Tim took on their Harley Davidson’s.
Frank is survived by his childhood sweetheart and wife of 55 years, Norma J. (McNeil) Grillo; children, Debra J. Foulks, JoyLynn Grillo, Frank A. Grillo, Annette Grillo (Larry) and Timothy D. (Nichole) Grillo; grandchildren, W. Kenny (Tiffany) Foulks, III, Leslie (Shaun) Robles, Lance Ashcroft, Angela Spino, Brandon Carson (Christina), Charise (Jordon) Ward, Caitlyn, Carissa, Josh, Alexis, Calyn and Brad; great grandchildren, Camden, Aldeline, Audrey, Kayla, Leah, Khyler, Cayden and Eythan; two brothers, Dominic (Sandy) Grillo and Bob Grillo; a brother-in-law, Paul (Becky) McNeil; a sister-in-law, Vera Heller; many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly; and special friends, Carrie Smith and her daughter, Corina. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death a sister, Liz (Mike) Knapp; sister-in-law, Carol Grillo; brother-in-law, Larry Heller; a great grandson; and two nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, August 20, 2012 at Diamond Hill Cathedral conducted by Rev. Mel Schroeder. Friends may call two hours prior to the service, from 12:30 – 2:30 p.m., at the church on Monday. Burial will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Diamond Hill Cathedral or MedCentral Hospice. The Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is handling arrangements for Frank Grillo.
