
Frankie Blair, 89, of Mansfield, died Tuesday, November 11, 2008, at her home. Born June 27, 1919, in Paintsville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Jasper and Julia Preston Woods. She was an area homemaker her entire life and attended the First Church of God. Frankie enjoyed quilting and volunteered her time with the Salvation Army for fifteen years.
She is survived by three sons, Douglas Blair of Mansfield, Charles Blair of Tucson, Arizona, and Ronald Clara Blair of Arcadia, Florida; daughter-in-law, Barbara Blair of Hamilton; six grandchildren; one special step-grandson; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Blair in 1971; son, Thomas Blair; parents; two sisters, Sylvia Castle and Annis Chambers; and a brother, Jasper Fleming Woods.
Friends may visit from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2008, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
