
George J. Gialamas, 64, of Mansfield died unexpectedly Monday, April 28, 2003 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He was born May 14, 1938 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late James and Pearl Constantine Gialamas. He had been a Mansfield area resident the past 20 years. George attended Resurrection Parish and was a member of B.P.O.E. #56 and AmVets.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia August Gialamas; a son, Michael J. Gialamas of Cleveland; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Eric Piascik of Cleveland, Ohio; two stepsons, Carl and his wife, Sandra Lucido and Jerome Lucido, all of Mansfield; five step-granddaughters; one step-great-granddaughter; three brothers and their spouses, Pete and Bernice Gialamas, John and Fern Gialamas and Ted Gialamas, all of Cleveland; four sisters and their spouses, Connie Butts, Sia Forbes, Terri Markey, and Vickie and Tom Ferritto, all of Cleveland; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Betty Hess.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Thursday, May 1 from 6-9 p.m. Additional calling hours will be held at DiCicco and Sons Funeral Home, 5975 Mayfield Road, Mayfield Heights, Ohio from 11-1 p.m. on Friday, May 2 followed by funeral services at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Knollwood Cemetery.
