

Gerald T. 'Garry' Davidson, 57, of 750 Woodhill Road, died at his home Wednesday morning, June 23, 2004 after a brief illness. He was born December 16, 1946 in Mansfield to Gerald Davidson and Marjorie Swanger Tuber. Mr. Davidson was a 1964 graduate of Malabar High School and moved to New York City upon graduation from Muskingum College in 1968. He was a buyer for Saks Fifth Avenue for over ten years before moving to Seattle, Washington in 1981 where he owned and operated his own clothing store named Fine Threads. Upon retirement, Mr. Davidson returned to Mansfield where he was active on the boards of the Mansfield Art Center, Richland Academy, Renaissance Theatre, and Raemelton Therapeutic Inc. He also maintained a residence in his beloved New York City. Mr. Davidson was a member of The First Church of Christ, Scientist.
He is survived by his father, Gerald Davidson of Mansfield; a sister, Janie Greene of Florida; a brother-in-law, Lee Greene of Florida; two nieces, Taylor Greene, 19, and Catie, 8, of Florida; and one nephew, Ben Greene, 14, of Florida.
A memorial service conducted by a Reader from the Christian Science Church, will be held at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Saturday, June 26, 2004 at 1 p.m. Wappner Funeral Directors assisted the family with arrangements.
