Gertrude McLaughlin

Gertrude M. McLaughlin, 91, of Bellville died Sunday, March 30, 2003 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after a brief illness. Mrs. McLauglin was born July 26, 1911 in Mansfield to the late Adam and Oma Schneider Deitrich and was a lifelong area resident. She retired from Westinghouse Corporation after 44 years of service. Gertrude was a very kind soul who had a love of nature and enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Victoria Baldridge of Ashland and Sandra and James Mills of Mansfield; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert E. and Jane McLaughlin of Portland, Oregon; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; and stepsister, Irene Uhde of Mansfield. She was preceded in death by her husband, John O. McLaughlin on February 19, 1997; daughter, Janet; brother, Harold Deitrich; stepbrother, Raymond Oaks; and grandson, Deanie John Kirkpatrick.

Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Wednesday, April 2 from 12-1 p.m. Graveside services, conducted by Pastor Don Belsterling, will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Mansfield Memorial Park.
