

Harold S. Green, age 86, of Sarasota Florida died Monday, July 12, 2004 in St. Vincent's Hospital in Toledo after a brief illness. Harold was born December 17, 1917 in Lexington, Ohio to the late Harry and Lela Leedy Green. During his pre adult life Harold lived in Steubenville, Ohio, he lived in Mansfield until 1985 before moving to Sarasota, Florida. Harold retired in 1978 from the Tappan Stove Company and was a US Army WWII veteran. He attended Sarasota Baptist Church and was a member of the American Legion Post #0888 of Columbus, VFW and Amvets. He loved to go fishing and boating. Harold played the harmonica and loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Georgianna Bollinger Green; two sons, David Green of Sarasota and Douglas Green of San Diego, CA; a daughter, Sharon Staley of Mansfield; five grandchildren, Kimberly Noland, Kelley Bridges, and Kandy Jenio all of Michigan, Jeffery Staley of Ohio, and Jennifer Schmitt of Illinois; five great-grandchildren, Krystal, Mandy, Dustin, Melissa, and Kenny; and one great-great-grandchild, Sadie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and Paul Green; a sister, Catherine Richards; and a son-in-law, Kenneth C. Staley.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Thursday, July 15, 2004 from 7-9 p.m. and one hour prior to a Memorial service on Friday, July 16, 2004 at 1 p.m. conducted by Rev, James Winkler. Military graveside services will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
