

Harry E. Eyerly, 84, of Mansfield died early Wednesday morning, September 18, 2002 at Woodlawn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center after an extended illness. Harry accepted Jesus as his Saviour and is now at home with the Lord. Mr. Eyerly was born March 10, 1918 in Mansfield and was a lifelong resident. Until his retirement, he was employed with Westinghouse Corp. for 38 years. Harry was a member and lifetime elder of Ridgeway First Church of God. He was a lifetime member of Harpcrest Community Center, Good Sam Club, lifetime member of AFL/CIO 711, Venus Masonic Lodge #152 F. & A.M., Mansfield Chapter #28, Mansfield Council 94, Mansfield Commandry #21, Scottish Rite-Valley of Columbus, Richland County Scottish Rite Association, Baku Grotto, and was a member of the Madison School Board for 12 years.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Madelene 'Madie' Harp Eyerly; a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Julie Eyerly of Mansfield; two daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and Ralph Wallis of Mansfield and Donna and Larry Davis of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Ann Wallis and Donald Wallis, Matthew Eyerly and Kate Eyerly, Josh Davis, James Davis, and Robin Davis; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd T. and Carrie B. Mercer Eyerly; three brothers, Arthur, Lewis and Bill Eyerly and a sister, Doris.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Friday, September 20 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Saturday at 10:30 a.m., conducted by Pastor John Dodds. Burial will follow in New Pioneer Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ridgeway First Church of God.
