

Born October 3, 1916 in Little Rock, Arkansas, he was the son of Harry D. and Edna M. (Benway) Randall. He graduated from Shelby High School and resided in the Mansfield area since graduation. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II. Bernie retired from White Westinghouse after 40 years of service and had owned his own television repair business. He was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church, the Owls, the Amvets, the American Legion, the Redmans Club, the Mansfield Visitors Bureau and the Lexington Senior Citizens Center.
He is survived by a son, David E. (Alison) Randall of Columbus; a brother, Richard Randall; a sister-in-law, Lois Daugherty; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou (Frasher) Randall; a son, Donald L. Randall; three brothers, Jack, Robert and Dale; and three sisters, Betty, Thelma and Maxine.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield conducted by Rev. Timothy Heintzelman. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery where full military honors will be conducted by the Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Detail. Friends may call one hour prior to the services, from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
