
Helen Jeannette 'Jackie' Gleason, 87, of Mansfield, died Sunday, May 23, 2010, at Liberty Care Nursing Home. Born February 28, 1923, in Pennsville, Ohio, she was the daughter of Harrison and Roena Wallace Thompson. She graduated from Fredericktown High School and retired from Reliable Finance where she worked as a secretary. Jackie was a member of Fredericktown Methodist Church and the VFW Post 3494 Auxiliary. She was a quick witted lady and enjoyed bowling at Colony Lanes, crocheting, cards and gardening.
Surviving her are two sons, Fred Jackie Hatfield of Galion and David Gleason of Mansfield; a daughter, Cindy Jock of Houston, TX; seven grandchildren, Sherry Scott Okonski, Jerry Traci Kenison, Dawn Kenison, Victor Mireya Jock, Auston Jock and Billy and Jacob Gleason; nine great grandchildren, Ashleigh Hopkins, Preston, Stetson and Logan Jock, Kelsey, Kaleb and Kinsey Kenison and Erica and Alexander Kenison; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Lucius Hatfield; her second husband, Bill Gleason; three brothers, Tom, Clifford and Evard Thompson; and a sister, Faola Hart Leedy.
