

Howard R. Kennedy, 75, of Middle Bellville Rd. died Wednesday March 27, 2002 at OSU Medical Center after a three-month illness. Howard was born in Mansfield on May 20, 1926 to Carl C. and Mabel Kennedy and was a life-long resident of Richland County. Mr. Kennedy had been a service station owner, an over the road truck driver, and worked in the construction field. He completed his education in the Lexington school system. Howard will be sadly missed by all.
Surviving are his beloved Mary, wife and companion for 58 years; his four sons and daughters-in-law, John and Pat Kennedy, Tim and Jayne Kennedy, all of Mansfield; Randy and Sally Kennedy of Gambier; Bob and Diane Kennedy of Columbia, Tennessee; one daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Dan Haines of Lexington; grandsons, Joshua, Bobby, Chad and Dylan; granddaughters, Paula, Debbie, Candy, Amanda, Autumn and Sarah; one step granddaughter, Lauren Raye; four great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews, including one special niece, Roseanne Tallentire. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Grace Bemiller; and his dog Annie.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Friday March 29, 2002 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
