James A. Fenton, 67, of Mansfield, died Friday morning, August 4, 2006, at his home following an extended illness. He was born September 25, 1939, in St. Mary's, West Virginia. Jim retired from The Ohio State University, Mansfield Campus on December 31, 2005. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was a very loving husband, father and grandfather.
Jim is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 30 years, Darlene L. Delp Fenton. He was blessed with three daughters, Teresa Bill Bays, Robin Kim Elliott, and Michelle Baughman; two sons, Mike Traci Stallings and Randy Stallings; sister, Dorothy Hank Fritchen; thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and six children from a previous marriage, Rick, Jimmy, Debbie, Denise, Diana and Jason Fenton. He was preceded in death by his Grandpa and Grandma Huffman and grandson, Cody J. Stallings.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Sunday, August 6 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Mike Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
