

Born March 25, 1940 in Mansfield, he was the son of James C. and Bernice (Day) Kilgore. A veteran of the United States Army, he retired from Mansfield Warehouse where he was a forklift operator. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and AARP and enjoyed hunting and fishing and just being outdoors. He also enjoyed watching television.
He is survived by his mother, Bea Kilgore of Lucas; a sister, Mary Jane (William K.) Miller of Westerville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother and a sister-in-law, William H. and Rowena Jean Kilgore.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield conducted by Rector Emeritus David S. Sipes. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park where full military honors will be conducted by the Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Detail. Friends may call one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 -2:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
