
Jane Louise Yaney, 75, of Lima, died Thursday, October 28, 2010, at the home of her daughter, Nicky, in Lexington. Born July 2, 1935, in Mansfield, she was the daughter of C. Harry and Lois Baker Copper. Jane lived in the Mansfield/Lexington area most of her life, moving to Lima in 1990, where she enjoyed selling Avon for 15 years. A very generous and loving person, she had a card ministry sending cards of all kinds to everyone and loved her cats. Jane was also known for her clothing and her impeccable style.
Surviving are her husband, Dale Yaney of Lima; two daughters, Terry Dale Metcalf of Bellville and Nicky Matthew Boggs of Lexington; four grandchildren, Matthew Metcalf and his fiancée, Autumn Prosser of Mansfield, Amanda Tony Rothweiler of Monterey, CA, Jordan Boggs of Athens, OH and Kelsey Boggs of Lexington; a brother, C. Harry Rheta Copper of Lexington; a sister, Sarah Charles Bowser of Gilbert, AZ; a brother-in-law, Steve Rita Yaney of Lima; a sister-in-law, Kay Bob Dermeier of Lima; and her four cats, Patty, Missy, Bubette and Abby, whom she loved unconditionally. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jerry Stephen Butterbaugh; a daughter, Sherri Arden Butterbaugh; and a sister, Doris Sturts.
Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, October 31, 2010, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 1, 2010, at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Walt Malick with additional calling hours one hour prior to the service, from 1-2 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. Private burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio.
