

Janice 'Sue' Elliott, 65, of Mansfield, died Sunday afternoon, May 22, 2005, at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after an extended illness. Born May 7, 1940, in Olive Hill, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Glen and Opal Price Garvin. A Mansfield area resident since 1968, Sue was formerly employed as a home care provider and nurse's aide with Passport. She was a member of the Alan Jackson fan club, and enjoyed dirt track racing and family softball.
She is survived by three sons, Glen and Linda Elliott, Chester Elliott and Ricky Elliott, all of Mansfield; daughter, Opal Bare of Mansfield; six grandchildren, Glenn, Samantha Sue and Joseph Elliott, and Lisa, Dustin and Jarrod Cyrus; one great-granddaughter, Trinity Cyrus; sister, Glenna Walker of Georgetown, Ohio; and brother, Ray Garvin of Morehead, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Chester Elliott, son, David L. Elliott and brother, Samuel Garvin.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Wednesday, May 25 from 5-8 p.m. Memorial services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Rev. Paul Harriger.
