Jason Lee Carroll, 38, of Mansfield went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born October 14, 1979 in Mansfield, Ohio to Raymond Lee and Connie Sue (Vanasdale) Carroll.
Jason was a devoted son, husband, father and grandfather. A man of faith, Jason loved to talk and share the word of God with others. Jason's perseverance allowed him to overcome many obstacles in his life. He was certainly not a quitter. Despite his own struggles, he never failed to inspire others to strive to be better and to overcome. He was a man of many words who had a knack for making a short story long. He always had a smile to share with others and never failed to lend a helping hand to those less fortunate. Generous, kind and caring are words that describe Jason and his loving personality. Jason was self employed as a car detailer, a job that was also an enjoyable hobby to him. Jason loved his local gas station coffee, and made frequent visits there daily.
Left to cherish Jason's memory are his loving wife of eleven years, Mary Jane Carroll; parents, Ray and Connie Carroll; brothers, Shannon (Tina) Carroll and Justin (Deanna) Carroll; sister, Megan Carroll; daughter, Ellen (Jared) Kinnard; grandchildren, Trinity, Noah and Thaddeus Kinnard; aunts, Aunt Cathy and Aunt Krista "Cis"; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Joy (Brian) Daugherty; brother-in-law, Dale (Missy) Boyd; and many dear friends.
Family and friends may visit from 4:00-8:00 pm, on Friday, January 26, 2018 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 South Lexington Springmill Road. A go fund me account has been established to help the family with final medical and funeral expenses. Donations may be made directly to Wappner Funeral Directors or online at; .
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital for their excellent care during Jason's extended stay.
