Jean Adams

Jean Florence France Adams, 77, of Mansfield, died Monday, August 11, 2008 at Winchester Terrace following a short illness. Jean was born in Enfield, England on May 2, 1931, coming to the United States with her husband, Richard, in September 1954. She was a member of the Leisure Ladies of Logan Place Red Hat Society and enjoyed their many outings. Jean was an avid reader and enjoyed cross stitching.

She is survived by her children, Cheryl Don Whitehouse of Brecksville and William "Bill" Adams of Lexington; grandchildren, Sarah Marc Wilkinson, Emily Stockwell, Abby Rob McCready, Laura Stockwell and Nicholas Adams; three sisters, Margaret Kilgore, Marie Henson and Yvonne Tyler; brother, Alan Tring; numerous nieces and nephews; and close friends, Joan Pugh and Rose Nunneley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Adams on February 3, 1999; parents, Robert and Grace; brothers, John, Geoffrey and Peter; and sisters, Gracie and Audrey.

Funeral services will be Friday, August 15, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12-1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to MedCentral Hospice, 335 Glessner Ave., Mansfield, OH 44903.
