

Jean P. "John" Sanchez, 53, of Lexington died unexpectedly, Friday, July 15, 2011 at his residence. Born May 8, 1958 in Shelby he was the son of Joseph and Lucienne Marozzi Sanchez. A 1976 graduate of Lucas High School, John completed his undergraduate studies at Stanford University, graduating in 1980. A very dedicated and tireless individual, John worked for many years in various family businesses and most recently was Vice President of Sales for Budget Wire and Display in Cleveland, OH. He was an avid cyclist riding his bike an average of 35 miles per day. A compassionate family man, John spent countless hours in the kitchen and was a master of the culinary arts. When not cooking, he could be found tending to his diverse gardens.
He is survived by his wife, Julie, whom he married on October 23, 1993; sons, Corporal Cameron Brittani Sanchez of Camp Lejuene, NC, of the U.S. Marine Corps, and Gabriel Sanchez and Alexandre Sanchez, both of Lexington; his beloved French Standard Poodle, Marquis; parents, Lucienne Sanchez of Mansfield and Joseph Sanchez Barb Kreis of Johnson City, TN; and brothers, Michel Sanchez and Wayne Sanchez, both of Mansfield; sisters, Lucy Kevin Knapp of Lucas and Chantal Sanchez Steven Sheppard of Columbus; father-in-law, Ron Hickson of Lexington; mother-in-law, Tanya Ressing of Gahanna; sister-in-law, Karena Nannu Singh of Gahanna; nephews, Clark Tara Harvey, George Sanchez, and Javin Singh; nieces, Ellen Jason Day and Raina Singh; and countless other extended family members and friends.
We love you, John, and will remember you always.
A celebration of John's life will be held Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Ontario, where everyone is welcome to share memories of John. Friends may call prior to the service on Saturday from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
