
Jeffrey A. Thompson, 49, of Lucas, died early Wednesday morning, January 26, 2005, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Born September 11, 1955, in Mansfield, he was the son of David C. and Shirley A. Mowers Thompson. He attended Grace Bible Church and was formerly employed at Hi-Stat. He enjoyed spending time with his eight nieces, eight nephews and great-niece, watching NASCAR and sprint car racing, and fishing.
He is survived by his parents; brother and sister-in-law, Stephen and Starla Thompson of Thorn Hill, Tenn.; four sisters and their spouses, Patricia and James Constance of Lucas, Paula and Gary Baughman of Ashland, Lisa and Doug Miller of Lucas, and Shawna Thompson of Mansfield; eight nieces; eight nephews; one great-niece; and lifelong friends, Kenny and Deb Ernsberger. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Alice Thompson, and maternal grandparents, Fred and Goldie Mowers.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Saturday, January 29 from 12-12:30 p.m. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Mt. Zion Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Marc Patterson and Rev. Bruce McCammon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
