

Born October 25, 1935 in Richland County, Ohio, he was the son of Roy and Hazel Dailey. A veteran of the United States Marines, he retired from Wick’s Lumber where he was employed as a truck driver and had previously worked for Tappan and Cement Products. He enjoyed working outdoors, especially cutting wood and woodworking alongside his wife in their shop. In the years past, he enjoyed stock car racing where he had won several trophies.
He is survived by his wife, Sandie (Wallace) Dailey; two sons, Steve (Stephanie) Dailey of Mansfield and Alan Dailey of Mansfield; two daughters, Josie (Brian) Barcroft of Mansfield and Mary Ann Hinkle of Mansfield; eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren; a brother, Robert Dailey of Ontario; and a sister, Leona Steiner of Ontario. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Belberta; a brother, Richard Dailey; a sister, Eldred Dailey; and his beloved dog, “Mickey”.
There will be no calling hours or services at this time. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family of Jimmy E. Dailey.
