John Brady

John "Dick" Brady, 69, of Mansfield, died Friday, January 31, 2014 at the Cleveland Clinic. Born April 5, 1944 in Mansfield, he was the son of Paul Edgar and Nellie (Russell) Brady. John worked for Gunther for 30 years as a journeyman plumber and was a member of Plumber and Pipefitter Local #42 in Norwalk. He enjoyed traveling, woodworking, gardening, and going to casinos. John also loved remodeling family homes and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Linda (Williams) Brady; daughter, Terri Poth; son, John Scott Brady; grandchildren, Amber Greer (Matt Wurgler), Jared Poth (Kylin), Heather Brady, and John D. Brady (Emily Thorne); great grandchildren, Joey and Jack Poth; brothers, Robert Brady, James Brady, and Donald (Kathy) Brady; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul Brady II, Neil Brady and Jack Brady, and sister Patricia Brumfield.

Friends may call Wednesday, February 5, 2014 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Ontario. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home officiated by Jeff O'Brien. Friends may also call one hour prior to the service from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
