John graduated from Malabar High School. He worked for a time as a car salesman but mainly worked with his dad at Burton French. He never liked to cook, so he frequented local restaurants, especially Mansfield Restaurant where he was a regular. A man of deep faith, John expressed kindness, caring and loving acceptance to everyone.
He loved music-listening to all genres-and always had the best equipment available. He also enjoyed listening to live music whenever he could. Cars placed a close second to music in his life. His favorite car was the Ford Mustang.
John is survived by a brother, Jeff (Jeri) Harbaugh; two nephews, Austin and Alex Harbaugh; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty Harbaugh and Ralph and Phyllis (Oney) Harbaugh; as well as numerous aunts and uncles.
A celebration of John's life will be held Thursday, September 6, 2018, at the Life Celebration Reception Center, 129 S. Main St., Mansfield from 5:00-8:00 p.m. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to assist the family.
