

John R. Stuff, 74, died early Thursday morning May 13, 2004 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after an extended illness. John was born May 4, 1930 in Butler to the late Govenor and Celestia Martin Stuff. He retired from Ohio Brass after forty-two years of service. John was a member of the First Christian Church, loved country music, Bingo, and playing his guitar.
He is survived by three daughters and son-in-law, Judy Burge, Debra and Phillip Newcomb, and Peggy Evans all of Mansfield; a brother, Robert Stuff of Connecticut; eight grandchildren, Chuck, Missi, Tracy, Shane, Jeri, Heath, Kira and Colt; twelve great-grandchildren and special family friends , John and Barb Lykins of Shelby and Donna Marlene Rowland of Lexington. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Stuff who passed away in 2003; three brothers, Carroll, Carl, and Farrell Stuff; and a sister, Vivian.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Saturday, May 15, 2004 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 17, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
