Joseph Martin Grassel, 73 of Mansfield died early Saturday morning, April 27, 2002 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Mr. Grassel was born June 14, 1928 in Mansfield to John and Elizabeth Grassel. He was an area resident all his life and owned and operated Lexington Remodeling for over 42 years. Joseph enjoyed photography and hunting. He was very much loved by his entire family and will be sadly missed. Joseph is now in a better place in the company of loved ones who have passed on before him.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Jean Hassinger Grassel; two sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas and Tracey Grassel and Kurt and Judy Grassel; two daughters and sons-in-law, April and Scott Roseberry and Trudy Grassel and Michael Steer; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Peter Grassel; two sisters, Kate and Rosie Grassel; and numerous nieces and nephews. His parents, brothers, John Jr. and Albert Grassel and sister, Terri Grassel all preceded him in death.
Private family services are being observed. In Joseph's memory, contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
