
Joseph W. Watts, 65, of Mansfield, died Thursday evening, August 21, 2003 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Mr. Watts was born February 21, 1938 in Ashland County, Ohio residing in the Mansfield area most of his life. He retired from Peabody Barnes as a machinist and was a member of Park Street Brethren in Ashland. Mr. Watts was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Joe loved to golf, play bingo, leatherwork and going to casinos.
Surviving are one son, Alan Watts of Woodbridge, Virginia; one step son, Dan of Oregon; three step daughters-in-law, Deanna of Golden, Colorado; Diane of Las Vegas, Nevada; and Donna of Plymouth; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Barbara Watts of Mansfield; Clair and Paula Watts of Savannah, Ohio; and one sister, Barbara Heston of Mansfield; and his beloved dog, Candy. He was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years Vivian Leigh Watts; parents, Russell and Elsie Watts; two-step daughters, Debbie McIntyre and Becky Jackson and one granddaughter, Annie Myer.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Monday, August 25, 2003 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Graveside services will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Vermillion Cemetery in Hayesville, Ohio conducted by Pastor Larry Collins. Memorial contributions may be made to North Central Ohio Hospice.
