Kathryn Wolford

Kathryn A. Wolford, 42, of Mansfield, died Sunday, January 18, 2004, at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. She was born May 20, 1961, in Mansfield to Richard E. and Ruth E. Geissinger Wolford. Kathy was a 1979 graduate of Madison High School, attended Word of Life Bible Institute in New York and graduated from Grace College in Wynona Lake with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. She formerly taught in Weslaco, Texas, at Sam Houston Intermediate School. Since 1997, she had been employed in customer service at Verizon in Marion. She was an active member of The Father's Vineyard Church in Mansfield, helping teach in the children's ministry. Kathy enjoyed sewing, cross-stitch, quilting, and writing, with some articles being published.

She is survived by her mother, Ruth E. Wolford of Mansfield; brother and sister-in-law, David and Gail Wolford of Mansfield; sister, Mary Wolford of Mansfield; one nephew and two nieces, Jeremy and his wife, Jenna Wolford, Jolene Wolford, Jessica Wolford; aunts and uncles, William and Lutie Wolford, Philip and Mae Geissinger, and Irma and Dennis Gustafson; numerous cousins; and extended church family. She was preceded in death by her father in February 2001 and her grandparents.

Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Thursday, January 22, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Pastor Spencer Moore. Burial will follow in Windsor Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The Father's Vineyard Church Children's Ministry.
