

Kay Frances (Brubach) Brandenburg, age 82, passed away peacefully in the arms of her daughter, January 8, 2025. Kay was known for her kindness, love of family and friends, effervescent personality, compassion and her gift of giving. She faced each day to serve the Lord by serving others. A faithful follower of Jesus Christ, Kay demonstrated her faith by guiding and supporting her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, giving her whole heart to them. Her home was a cozy safe-haven, welcoming all who entered. One could always count on kind words, a listening ear, and warm hugs from Kay.
She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, hosting beautiful holiday get-togethers and making others feel special and loved. Her most precious moments included watching her grandchildren, Savannah and Jake, grow into young adults, and spending time with her great-grandchildren, Beau and Ada. Kay enjoyed gardening and her home showed the love she put into everything.
Kay was the daughter of Fred and Kathryn (Grassel) Brubach, born July 19, 1942. She graduated from Mansfield Senior High School and attended Bowling Green State University.
Kay is survived by her children, daughter, Stephanie (Greg) Jones and son, Marc Utiss; her sister Pat Stimpert; brother Fred (Lori) Brubach; grandchildren Savannah Utiss and Jake (Irie) Brandenburg; and great-grandson Beau Brandenburg as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Mike Brubach.
Kay was a wonderful friend to all and was cherished by many, including her sister, Pat; daughter, Stephanie; and friends, Kathy and Eric Morris, Robin Ritter, and Jenny Sykes, who provided love and support to Kay during times when she most needed it.
Kay was most certainly a blessing to all who knew her and her presence will be greatly missed. At this time, no services are planned. Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services by Wappner is honored to serve the Brandenburg family.
