Kenneth Edward Shields

Ed was born on January 12, 1945, in Nashville, Ohio. He was the son of Charles and Norma Jean (Hiller) Shields. Ed proudly served our country in the United State Navy as an Evaporator Technician. He was employed at Mansfield Screw Machine for over 15 years and for the last 17 years at Blevins Fabrication Corporation.

Ed lived a full life. He enjoyed going to Kenton Nationals, drag racing and hunting for deer and duck.

Ed is survived by his lifelong family friends, L.T., Marinda, Remington, Grace, Colton and “Button” Blevins. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may visit at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield, on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held in Mansfield Cemetery on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Humane Society of Richland County.
