Kenneth Brent Stubbs, lovingly known as "Kenny B," passed away peacefully at his home in Galion, Ohio, on August 14, 2025, at the age of 72, after 18-years of battling many health issues, including several years of cancer.
Born on October 7, 1952, in Georgetown, Kentucky, Kenny was the son of the late Kenneth C. Stubbs and Carol D. (Fryman) Stubbs. During his teenage years, his family relocated to Ohio, which would become his lifelong home.
In November 1972, Kenny answered the call to serve his country, joining the United States Navy. He was stationed in Charleston, South Carolina, and served aboard the USS Sierra during the Vietnam era with pride and dedication.
Kenny had a deep love for the outdoors, Westerns, and family vacations. He had a special bond with animals, especially his beloved dogs, and was known for his gentle spirit toward all creatures. A true car enthusiast—especially fond of Toyotas—he passed his passion for cars on to his daughter, Leslie.
He is survived by his daughter, Leslie Stubbs; granddaughter, Dakota Ramey; nephew, Jason Stubbs; niece, Becky Foss; and many cherished cousins. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Roberta P. May, his brother William D. Stubbs, and numerous aunts and uncles.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite local animal shelter in Kenny’s honor. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
