Kim Walker Jr.

Mr. Walker was born in Mingo County, W. Va. on June 10, 1941, the youngest child of Kim Walker Sr. and Thelma Ruth (Stafford) Walker.

An avid hunter and fisherman, Mr. Walker was married to Billie Jane (Davis) Walker, who survives in Jeromesville, and they had four children. He was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church in Ashland and was active in its outreach ministry.

Mr. Walker spent 37 1/2 years working in Ohio for General Motors Corporation, joining the Euclid plant in 1958 and retiring from the Parma plant in 1996. He was a proud UAW union steward for many years.

Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his eldest son, Jimmy Charles Walker, and a grandson, Michael Scott Walker.

Survivors include daughter Cathy Lynn (Walker) Sanchez and her husband Arthur, son Jeffery William Walker and his wife Amy, son Matthew Wade Walker and his wife Cathy, and daughter-in-law Suzie Walker; grandchildren Amanda (Sanchez) Callaso and her husband Eduardo, Ian Walker, Jalie Palko, Macie Palko; great grandson Dylan Callaso.

There will be no services at Mr. Walker’s request. Memorial contributions may be directed to Calvary Baptist Church, Ashland, Ohio.
