

Laura M. Phillips, 87, of Mansfield, passed away Friday afternoon, June 2, 2017, at Crystal Care Center of Mansfield. She was born December 8, 1929, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Richard and Ethel (Coffman) Hardin.
A lifelong resident of Mansfield, Laura worked as a waitress at Daugherty's Restaurant for many years. She enjoyed playing Bingo and taking bus trips to visit casinos. She and her husband, Harold, especially enjoyed wintering in Florida. Laura adored her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was at the top of her list.
She is survived by four children, Carol Tolley of Ashland, Laurie Spellman of Ontario, Larry Phillips of Mansfield and Nancy (Mike) Daugherty of Ontario; six grandchildren, Christopher Roseberry, Lauralie Cox, Robbie Spellman, Ryan Gordon, Chelsea Baker and Faith Daugherty; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Dorothy Spence and Annie Pursley.
In addition to her parents, Laura is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Harold Phillips, who passed away on June 18, 2009; a son, Dennis Roseberry; a daughter, Candy Jo Phillips; and two brothers, Virgil and William Hardin.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Wappner Funeral Directors.
