
Lena Eileen Bail Fields, 76, of Townville, South Carolina died Wednesday, November 5, 2003 at her home. She was born October 31, 1927 in MacArthur, Ohio to Arthur and Gladys Canode Bail. Until her retirement, Lena was employed with Citizen's Federal Bank. She also worked as a waitress in Mansfield and at the Leland Hotel. She grew up in the Pleasant Valley Five Points Baptist Church and also attended Beaver Dam Baptist Church and Shiloh Springs Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Sharon Cornell of Townville, South Carolina and Wanda and Don Jackson of Mansfield; a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Joyce Grosscup of Seneca, South Carolina; six grandchildren, Matt Cornell, Greg Jackson, Donnie and his wife Cathy Jackson, Tonjia Melton, and Eric and Adam Grosscup; seven great-grandchildren, Amanda, Laila, Kaylea, and Buddy Jackson, and Brendan, Cassie, and Kali Melton; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Betty Milligan of Shelby, Ohio, Doris Rheinbolt of Dublin, Ohio, Carol and Charlie Wiles and Wilma and Tom Parsons, both of Mansfield; a brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Elizabeth Bail of Carmel, Indiana; a sister-in-law, Willa Bail of Shelby, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews and good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arbor Dell Fields; and two brothers, Billy and Donnie Bail.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 9 at 2:00 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors conducted by Pastor Tom Parsons. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will be Monday November 10, 2003 in Washington Township Cemetery in Centerville, Ohio.
