

Loretta "Lori" Thompson, 43, of Mansfield, OH died November 1, 2013. Born on August 11, 1970 in Mansfield, OH, she was the daughter of Carl D. Bullis and Sandra (Calhoun) Fear. Lori was a strong, generous woman who was a poetic writer and eloquent letter writer. She lived for her family and was an amazing grandma and mother. Lori loved delivering Meals on Wheels, taking long rides, meeting new people, and keeping in touch with friends, whether it be by phone or Facebook. Her Facebook status commonly read "Good morning all you beautiful people. Have a good day". Her husband George affectionately referred to her as "Retta", and the two of them enjoyed riding motorcycles together. Lori loved the color purple, butterflies, and flowers and listening to Kid Rock.
Surviving are her husband of 24 years, George Thompson of Mansfield; son, Jonathon D. (Katelyn Duncan) Thompson of Mansfield; daughter, Kasandra (Shaun) Laferty of Mansfield; grandchild, Analea Laferty; brothers, Lonnie (Tammie) Bullis of Mansfield and Jimi (Missy Gouch) Fear of Blairsville, PA; stepfather, Jim Fear of Pittsburgh, PA; mother-in-law, Kasandra Thompson of Mansfield; in-laws, Clyde Thompson of Mansfield, Phillip Thompson of HI, and Violet Thompson of Mansfield; and a host of other family, friends, nieces, and nephews.
Lori was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers-in-law, John Thompson and Ernie Thompson.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield, OH 44902. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, November 6 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
