
Louise S. Lutz, 68, passed away Wednesday evening, November 24, 2010 in the Cleveland Clinic. Born October 20, 1942 in Shelby, she was the daughter of the late Theodore L. and Sarah E. Sterrett Lutz. Louise graduated from Mansfield Senior High in 1960, received her Bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University and later received her Master's degree in Library Science from Western Michigan University. She taught in the armed forces in Okinawa and later taught in Florida. Upon returning to Mansfield, she was employed as an elementary teacher and later moved into an Administrative position within the Mansfield City School system. Louise has a passion for animals and rescued and cared for many throughout her life. She was a member of several book clubs and was a voracious reader. Louise enjoyed traveling and spending time with her many good friends.
She is survived by two sisters, Sarah Judith Philip Goff of Westerville and Nancy Lutz Stevens of VA; a brother, Theodore J. Jane Lutz of Lewis Center; nieces and nephews, Michelle Goff Oboy, Michael Goff, Jennifer Lutz Jordan, Stephanie Lutz Barone, Kevin Lutz, Lisa Stevens Monds and Michael Stevens; and a host of great-nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation or services observed. Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family of Louise Lutz. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Richland County.
