
Lydia B. Nelson Sprang Williams, 86, of Mansfield died Monday night October 11, 1999 at Winchester Terrace Nursing Home following a brief illness. Mrs. Williams was born December 16, 1912 in Petroleum, West Virginia residing in the Mansfield area most of her life. She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church and Mansfield Chapter #47 Women of the Moose. Surviving are her husband, Preston O. Williams; one daughter and son-in-law, Doris H. & Kenneth Gamble of Mansfield; one son, Russell D. Sprang of Mansfield; four grandchildren and their spouses, Linda & Robert Reed Jr. and James & Rebecca Shick of Mansfield; Martin & Sally Sprang of Montrose; and Vanessa Sprang of Telluride, Colorado; four great-grandchildren, Tara Reed; Jennifer Reed; Elan Shick all of Mansfield; Conor Sprang of Telluride, Colorado; one great-great granddaughter, Maisy Reed; and a number of nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles & Agatha Ford Nelson; her first husband, George E. Sprang; one sister, Sadie B. Peters; and two brothers, Clyde P. and William C. Nelson. Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Wednesday October 13, 1999 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday October 14, 1999 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by the Rev. David Gilbert. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Main Street United Methodist Church.
