

Mae Rhoda Welsh, 88, of Mansfield, died Sunday afternoon, March 27, 2005, at Woodlawn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Born October 13, 1916, in Washington Township, she was the daughter of John Leroy and Bertha Barbara Imhoff Burghard. Mae was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and loved to crochet, knit, bake and garden. She was a loving mother who was always there for her friends and family.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Rhoda and Lorran Hallock and Nettie and David Rabal, all of Mansfield; three sons, George Burghard of Virginia, Eugene Burghard of New York, and Edison Welsh of Mansfield; a sister, Florence Ziegler of Johnsville; six grandsons; ten granddaughters; nine great-grandsons; seven great-granddaughters; two great-great grandsons; and one great-great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Welsh on July 26, 1986; parents; two sons, John F. Welsh and Frederick Welsh; three brothers; and a sister.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Wednesday, March 30, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Randy Raynes. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made at the funeral home to Fellowship Baptist Church.
