
Margaret "Louise" Stone, 84, went home to be with her Lord, Tuesday afternoon, June 7, 2011 at Mifflin Care Center. Born January 24, 1927 in New Boston, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late James B. and Rosa Himes. Louise was an area homemaker her entire life, focusing her attention on her family and her faith. She was a devoted Christian woman, never wavering in her faith, no matter the challenge, and loved the Lord with all her heart. Louise was a wonderful cook and enjoyed her strawberry milkshakes while adamantly disliking okra. She was a member of Light House Chapel in Lucas. Her caring, loving spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by five children, Ricky T. Stone, Gail Stone and Larry Stone, all of Mansfield, Danny R. Stone and Otto E. Dottie Stone, Jr., all of Florida; sister, Evelyn Creamer of Portsmouth; brother, James B. Himes, Jr. of IN; special nephew, Roy Carolyn Cyrus of Mansfield; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Otto Edwin Stone, Sr.; and sister, June Marie Phipps.
Friends and family may visit Friday, June 10, 2011 beginning at 9:30 a.m. with a funeral service following at 10:30 a.m. in the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Pastor Phil Green of Real Life Community Church and Rev. Steve Grover will conduct the service. Burial will follow in Windsor Park Cemetery.
